Special Event: Bird Rescue Mahjong Fundraiser
Come to this fundraiser to learn about the fascinating game of Mahjong, or simply play it with others. We'll have volunteers to provide hands-on instruction, and open play tables for those who are more comfortable with the game.
Mickaboo is a registered nonprofit organization based in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. We rescue parrots and other commonly domesticated companion birds who have been neglected, abused, injured or surrendered to us because their owners can no longer care for them.

Mahjong at Third Realm
Join us at Third Realm for an afternoon of Hong Kong/Cantonese mahjong, milk tea, and good company! Whether you’re a complete beginner or just need a refresher, our teachers will guide you through the rules and gameplay.
$20 ticket ($10 for Third Realm members) includes instruction, play time, and HK milk tea, herbal tea, and other non-alcoholic drinks.

Come play mahjong, beginners welcome! We’ve got limited seats so RSVP now. We might be able to add more seats so join the waitlist even if it’s full. Ticket includes: instruction, play, tea & light dimsum.
**Please plan to arrive on time to not miss the instruction.**
We will have teachers guiding the way for anyone new to the game or needing a refresher. We’ll be playing Hong Kong / Cantonese mahjong. (American mahjong has different rules!)
We’ll provide:
- light dimsum from Hing Wang Bakery
- HK milk tea, herbal tea and NA drinks
- mahjong sets & tables*
